Deputy Lawrence Canfield was a motorcycle officer. The 43-year-old husband and father of two died in a traffic accident in Rancho Cordova last Wednesday. 

Following Thursday's services at the First Baptist Church of Elk Grove, a law enforcement procession will escort Deputy Canfield’s family to a cemetery in Galt.

That procession is expected to cause long traffic delays. It’s scheduled to start during the noon hour and impact traffic on East Stockton Boulevard, Sheldon Drive and southbound Highway 99 between Elk Grove and Galt.
