Brad Buyse with the Sacramento County Elections Office says voters can take their ballots to one of several different drop-off spots.
Buyse: “You can drop it at your city clerk’s office throughout the county. We have that in the city of Sacramento, the city of Citrus Heights, Elk Grove, Rancho Cordova, Isleton, Galt and Folsom, and also the Sacramento County admin building.”
Another drop-off option is the county elections office, where you can get a new vote-by-mail ballot if you’ve lost your original – or even just vote right then and there.
Finally, you can also drop your vote-by-mail ballot off at your polling place on Election Day.
A record 44 percent of registered Sacramento County voters have requested vote-by-mail ballots – and nearly half of them have already turned their ballots in. Buyse expects a turnout of over 80 percent this election – the highest since 1964.
