And the weather shouldn’t be too hot: mid-90s on Saturday, low-80s on Sunday and mid-80s on Monday.
Brooke Converse is with the fair at Cal Expo in Sacramento. She says attendance over the past two-weeks has been good.
Converse says one reason is because they’ve been staying open on Mondays…something they didn’t do in previous years.
"So we’re getting actually an extra boost in attendance from having those days open. We’ve also had some really good days. Last Saturday was a big day for us. I think a lot of people are looking for things that are close to home and the fair is still a pretty good deal. We’ve decided to do some big discount pricing this year."
Converse says the State Fair also helps boost Sacramento area businesses. She says on average, events at Cal Expo generate about $250 million a year to the local economy.
The fair ends Monday night at 10 PM.
