Contract talks between the teacher’s union and the Rocklin Unified School District have stalled.
Mary Dick is president of the Rocklin Teachers Association. She says teachers want higher wages.
"What it comes down to is priorities. We have beautiful buildings, we have great programs and obviously we have great schools. But are buildings more important than your teachers or not?"
District officials have not yet returned our request for comment.
Contract talks between the district and teachers union started 15 months ago. If a settlement isn’t reached by September 24th, steps will be taken for a state mediator to intervene.
