No matter the language, solar power means big business in Europe. Many European countries offer generous incentives for solar electricity production. That has Roseville company Premier Power Renewable Energy looking overseas. The company opened an office in Navarra, Spain, in 2006. Last month, it opened a second Spanish office, in Madrid. Now it’s considering expanding into France and Italy. Not that the company hasn’t been doing much here. Last week, Premier Power flipped the switch on its biggest project, a 1.2 megawatt solar farm built on a Wilton turkey farm. The system could produce enough power for 600 homes. But compared to the U.S. market, Europe is more lucrative for solar companies. Premier Power expects 35 percent of its projects to be in Spain this year, up from 5 percent last year.
