The City Unified School District board last night picked Susan Miller to serve as interim superintendent for one year beginning July 1st. Miller is an Associate Superintendent who has worked in the district’s central office for the past 12-years. She’s the second woman in the districts 150-plus year history to lead the city school system. The first woman…current Superintendent Maggie Mejia…is retiring this summer.
