February’s Presidential Primary was marked with some confusion particularly among voters who decline to state a party preference.

 Kate Folmar with the California Secretary of State’s office says the registration deadline for the June election is a good time to double-check your information. 

“To make sure that your political party is what you think it is, because there were some folks who found their political party was something other than what they thought it was in February…” 

Back in February, Decline-to-State voters could not vote a  Republican ballot. This created some confusion at the polls.In June that will be different. The Democrats, the Republicans and the American Independents are all allowing non-partisan voters to take part in their primaries.
