The Enterprise Rancheria tribe in Butte County is looking again to build a $150 million casino in rural Yuba County, just north of the Sleep Train Amphitheatre. The tribe completed an environmental report last month that could help put 40 acres south of Marysville into a federal trust in hopes to build there. Opponents say the tribe should not be allowed to put the land in a trust – let alone build a casino -- in another county. The tribe got an advisory referendum to build a casino on the Yuba County ballot in 2005, but lost with only 49 percent of the vote. Now, the tribe is marketing the 200,000-square-foot casino and 170-room hotel as a job creator.
