Sac County DA Honors Local Heroes

One of them is 13-year old Joshua Jones. District Attorney Jan Scully says Jones cooperated with police after he witnessed a murder near his Oak Park home.  

"This young man was confronted by an unknown presumed gang member who brandished a gun at him and threatened him and despite that, with the support of his family, he continued to help law enforcement in the investigation and prosecution of those two culprits." 

Scully is holding her ninth annual “Outstanding Citizen Awards" Friday morning during a ceremony at the Board of Supervisors Chambers. It coincides with National Crime Victims’ Rights Week.
