Classically-trained jazz musician Deepak Ram was born in South Africa, moved to India in his late teens to study flute, and now lives in the U.S. Ram is one of the featured performers at the 2008 Brubeck Festival in Stockton.

Bansuri flute player Deepak Ram performs with guitarist Ricardo Piexoto, bassist John Shifflett, and drummer Jason Lewis on Wednesday, April 2nd at 7 :30 p.m. in the Faye Spanos Concert Hall on the campus of University of the Pacific. The concert is part of the 2008 Brubeck Festival.
