From March 8th through March 17th, Kevin Johnson’s campaign spent more than $150,000. Heather Fargo spent around $1,300.
And the fundraising totals from that period are just as stark. Johnson raised $26,000, while Fargo raised just under $5,000.
What’s made Johnson’s spending possible is a $500,000 loan to his campaign. That let him hire several top political consultants, pay for polls and other voter research, and send out campaign mailings.
Johnson still had $375,000 in cash on hand, as of March 17th. Fargo had around $60,000.
