The city is holding a free workshop for residents facing foreclosure.
Mary Lyon is Assistant Director of the Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency.
"It’s a valuable opportunity to have face to face contact with someone who can actually help them through the process and it’s free of charge. There is hope and people need to come out and let these people who are there to help them help them."
Home loan and credit counselors as well as lenders will give residents advice on how to prevent default and foreclosure. Homeowners are encouraged to bring their loan documents and financial information.
Monday night's workshop is from 6:30 to 8:30 at the Oak Park Community Center. Another workshop will be held in Natomas next month.
