Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger says he opposes the ballot measure aimed at funding for California’s Community Colleges.  He said Tuesday that he hopes everyone votes no on Proposition 92.

“It’s the last thing we need is to commit ourselves to another one of those things where we are locked in to an automatic spending thing and we cannot keep that promise…”

Supporters of Prop 92 say the measure is needed to secure money specifically for community colleges.  They claim the schools are chronically under funded.

Schwarzenegger has weighed in on other ballot measures.  He is in favor of Proposition 93 which would change term limits for state legislators.  He is also supporting Propositions 94-through-97 and is appearing in ads for them.  Those measures have to do with compacts the state has signed with four Indian tribes regarding gaming and cash for the state.
