Felix Garcia is a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Sacramento. He says since the ground is saturated from all the rain we’ve been getting this week, the winds could hurt trees and fences weakened by stronger storms earlier this month.
"Because of trees that have been damaged from the last wind event, maybe some trees may fall but nothing more concerning than that."
Garcia says by the end of the weekend, we could get two inches of rain in Downtown Sacramento and up to seven-feet of new snow around Lake Tahoe.
Meantime, SMUD officials say they have extra crews on call to restore power in case the storms knock out electricity to their customers.
