Obama has long talked about the politics of hope and run a mostly positive campaign. But today, for one of the first times on the stump, he criticized Senator Clinton by name.
Obama: “The American people don’t want a president whose plans change with the politics of the moment. Senator Clinton says she is ready to lead on day one, but it’s important on day one to get it right – whether you’re talking about war or you’re talking about economic proposals.”
Reno resident Carmen Kundert came in leaning about 75 percent towards Clinton. She said Obama impressed her overall, but said she wasn’t a fan of the tough talk.
Carmen: “It left a bad taste in my mouth, but we’ll see how Hillary responds to that.”
Ben: “Okay, so it turned you off somewhat, but it doesn’t mean you’re not –“
Carmen: “No. It’s not a deciding factor. Definitely not.”
Now, she’s off to see Clinton this afternoon – and says she’ll make a decision tomorrow morning.
