Former senator John Edwards released his economic stimulus plan earlier this afternoon. And Senator Hillary Clinton held an economic roundtable to discuss several of her own proposals.
"I would have a moratorium on home foreclosures for 90 days so that people can work out a way of staying in their homes. And a lot of people could stay in their homes if their interest rates didn’t keep going up on them."
Clinton also wants to freeze interest rates for five years and require more transparency from mortgage lenders. The other major Democratic candidate, Senator Barack Obama, released his economic stimulus plan last weekend. Nevada has the highest home foreclosure rate in the nation.
