Sacramento County will hold its final Community Flu Clinic of the year. The Health Department has been holding clinics since October and charging $10 for a flu shot. But Immunization Coordinator Lynnan Svensson says they’re waiving the fee Thursday.

"Now it’s later in the season and at this point we want to make sure we utilize all of that vaccine. So we’re able to do this, the cost to us is only staff cost, and we do it as a public service to make sure we don’t waste any of the vaccine and that everybody has an opportunity to be immunized."

The clinic is from 10 AM to 2 PM at the Pannell Center on Meadowview Road in South Sacramento.

Svensson says other than getting the flu shot, you can protect yourself and others by washing your hands often and staying home when you are sick.
