Hotel giant Marriott International is looking to build a five- or six-story hotel in Roseville that would include a 65,000-square-foot fitness center open to residents. The 174-room hotel in Olympus Pointe would be one of the first high-end Renaissance ClubSport hotels nationwide for the Marriott chain. The ClubSport concept combines a boutique full-service hotel with a large fitness center and spa. The proposed hotel would be on a hill overlooking Miner’s Ravine to the north and the financial and office district of Douglas Boulevard to the south. The city of Roseville and the company has not determined a time frame for construction and completion of the hotel. Marriott already has four franchised hotels in Roseville – two Courtyard hotels, a Residence Inn and a Fairfield Inn.
