She’s been the president of Hennepin Technical College in Minneapolis for the past two years. Jeffery says one of her goals as Sac City’s president is to heighten the campus’ profile.

"I hope to make Sacramento City College an even stronger player within the state of California. I hope to really do things that enhance and extend the service that the college provides within the community."    

Jeffery is set to begin her new job in March. She replaces Art Tyler. He left Sacramento City College last August to accept a position at Houston Community College in Texas.
