If you own a 1991 through 2001 Ford Explorer – and you’re a California resident – then a class-action attorney who filed the suit says this settlement applies to you.
It’ll allow owners to apply for $500 vouchers to buy new Explorers or $300 vouchers to buy other Ford or Lincoln Mercury products.
Ford has faced wrongful death and personal injury lawsuits across the country stemming from a series of rollover accidents that involved earlier models of its popular SUV.
A Ford spokeswoman told the Associated Press that Wednesday’s agreement ends all those outstanding lawsuits.
Ford says it’ll notify everyone affected by the settlement in late December or early January.
The settlement also applies to Explorer owners in Connecticut, Illinois and Texas.
