The Target Corp. has a bulls-eye on its Broadway store in Sacramento, with plans to demolish the current building to make way for a more urban-type store. Target has been considering a remodel of the store for the past few years, but has now decided to demolish the 115,000-square-foot building in favor of a larger, two-level store. If approved, the store’s entrance would be at the corner of Broadway and Riverside Avenue, part of a plan to revive the neighborhood. The plan also includes some ground-floor space for restaurants and shops on Broadway. Target has built-similar stores in other markets, including downtown Minneapolis, where the national retailer has its headquarters.
