Sacramento has the sixth highest foreclosure rate in the nation according to Realty Trac, a company that analyzes real estate data. During the 3rd quarter of this year, one of every 48 households in the metro area is in foreclosure … a total of 15,500 homes. Stockton has the bleakest numbers in the U.S. – one in every 31 households was in foreclosure during that three-month period. San Bernadino was also worse than Sacramento. But not all parts of the U.S. are suffering. The Realty Trac data shows that much of Virginia, the Carolinas and Texas have been immune so far to the foreclosure epidemic.
