The Sacramento Bee is going through a tough time right now. Revenues are down – you can thank the housing market for that – and the entire newspaper industry is struggling in the age of the Internet. To top it off, longtime executive editor Rick Rodriguez shocked the newsroom by resigning last month in a dispute with the Bee’s publisher.
His replacement is Melanie Sill, who comes from the Raleigh News and Observer in North Carolina. She sat down with KXJZ in the Bee’s newsroom Friday morning to discuss the paper’s future.
