Dunmore Homes has been a fixture in Sacramento real estate since 1953 … but it’s been pressured by the sharp reversal in the region’s housing market. Contractors and others claim they’re owed millions for work already done … and Dunmore Homes closed its sales office in August. The company has been purchased, with its assets and liabilities, by Michael Kane, a Sacramento native. Terms were not disclosed. Former CEO Sid Dunmore said the move assures continuing local ownership … and he says he will stay on, as will the core management team.
