On Wednesday, the Sheriffs Department added a new incentive: a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the two suspects. The department also released two sketches of one of the suspects.
Investigators say a gunman with an accomplice killed Sean Aquitania, Sr., in a friend’s house; and his baby son, Sean, Jr., while he sat in the car outside.
They believe Sean, Sr.'s gang connections had nothing to do with his death. In fact, they say, it’s likely he was headed to his friend’s house on a social visit. The suspects were already there for a home invasion.
The department has said in the past there were two witnesses who fled on foot; it now says a third man was in the house as well.
Note: The above sketch is just one of two possible sketches released by the Sheriffs Dept. of one of the two suspects. He's described as "possibly a white or light-skinned Hispanic male in his early 20s, 5 feet 9 inches to six feet tall, weighing approximately 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a green shirt and green Oakland A’s baseball cap."
The other suspect is described as "an African-American male in his early 20s" who "had shrouded the lower half of his face, possibly with a bandana."
