It brought light rain to the valley and a dusting of snow to Donner Summit. Mike Smith is a meteorologist with the National Weather Service office in Sacramento. He says the storm system has moved on to the Central Coast and we’ll get dry weather Friday....but not for long.

"We do expect that same weather system that’s sitting off the central coast to actually move back towards us again. Kind of expect it to lift out into Nevada and on its trip there it looks like it may bring us another threat of precipitation on Saturday."

High temperatures will stay in the low 70s for the next few days. Normally, highs are in the upper 80s this time of year. This Sunday marks the first day of Fall.
