San Diego-based Accredited Home Lenders announced Wednesday that it’s closing substantially all its lending offices and five support locations, as of early September. Accredited has retail branch offices in Sacramento, Folsom and Roseville, as well as a centralized office in Sacramento. It’s the latest in the parade of mortgage companies to say it’s closing or significantly reducing its operations, given the soft housing market. In July alone, Greater Sacramento had 4,000 foreclosure filings … compared to about 1,000 lat July, and 200 in July of 2005.
