Sacramento State pollster Amy Liu says she found that most Sacramento area residents support some kind of healthcare reform.

"We have almost 60% support the governor’s proposal to require all Californians to have healthcare insurance. Almost equal amount also support the proposal made by President Bush to improve healthcare coverage in the United States."

The survey also found nearly 60% support the federal government guaranteeing health insurance for all citizens, even if it means raising taxes. The telephone poll was conducted in February and March.
