Despite a tough economy, donations to the University of California, Davis increased for the fifth consecutive year. UC Davis received $101 million in donations during the 2006-2007 fiscal year, a 24 percent increase compared to the $81.5 million from a year ago. The university’s donations reached a record $110 million in 2001-2002, which included a $35 million donation from Robert and Margrit Mondavi. About 44,000 people donated to UC Davis during the just-completed fiscal year. More than one-third of the donations – almost $35 million – went to the UC Davis Health System.
