Officials with the Sacramento Sports Commission announced Wednesday that they’ve secured the race for a second year.
John McCasey with the commission says the route may change, but racers will still be coming from Santa Rosa.
"Once it’s in town it’ll come in and we’ll have a circuit course around downtown to culminate the race day and the exact finish line may be relocated. That too is going to be evaluated."
McCasey says the race in February was a big boost to the local economy, generating about $3 million from things like hotel stays and restaurant dining.
But some downtown commuters may not be so happy. Police had to close down several streets to accommodate the racers.
