The new shopping center will be called Westbridge Plaza … and it will double the amount of retail space in West Sacramento’s Southport area. That’s been a fast-growing residential area this decade. 15,000 people live there low … a number that will double when the area is fully developed. The anchor will be a Lowe’s store … and another 15 to 20 tenants will be the expected that includes banking, restaurants, shops and perhaps medical offices of some sort. Developer Lux Taylor calls the architectural style Creole, or New Orleans riverfront … with iron railings and outdoor plazas.
