Karen Doron with the Sacramento County Airport System says many people are missing their planes because they’re not allowing enough time to check in and go through security.

But Doron says you should have no trouble making your flight if you arrive early enough. 

"For domestic flights if you can be in the terminal 90 minutes before your flight and for international flights be here 2 hours early."

And Doron says don’t forget – if you’re planning to put any liquids or jells in your carry-on bag, they’ll need to be placed in a one-quart size zip top bag, with each item 3-ounces or smaller.
