State Urged To Deliver Transportation Funds

They say the state has the money since voters approved Proposition 1B, the transportation bond measure. But Davis City Councilman Don Saylor says he’s worried state lawmakers may hold back. 

"There’s been some discussion in the Legislature of changing the amount that’s available to local jurisdictions, reducing in the case of Davis from a total of $2 Million over the life of Prop 1B to $1.5 Million."

He says cutting the amount by $500,000 would have a negative impact on road repair projects. Proposition 1B was approved by voters last November.
