His experience includes previous stints leading symphonies in New Mexico and Long Island. Lockington says he wants to expand classical music in Modesto.

Lockington will lead the Modesto Symphony in its inaugural season at the Gallo Center for the Arts beginning this October. This will be the orchestra’s 77th season.
