Just three years ago, William Jessup University moved to Rocklin to escape its landlocked campus in San Jose. It had 320 students at the time. Expecting an enrollment drop to begin with, the number of students grew instead, and will be doubled by this fall. All three dormitories are full at the Christian college. Now William Jessup is planning to launch a capital campaign to raise as much as $35 million, so it can accommodate 1,000 students by the end of the decade. Buildings would be added, and more of the former Herman Miller industrial space at the site would be converted for university purposes.
