Bustos Media plans to buy a low-power TV station in the next several weeks and expand the company’s reach in the local Spanish-language market. The Sacramento company has an agreement to broadcast Azteca America – a fast-growing, Spanish-language network – on the new station starting July 1. Amador Bustos, president of the company named after him, won’t comment on the specifics of the TV station, but says the deal will give him some cross-marketing opportunities with his four Spanish-language radio stations in the region. Bustos Media owns 25 Spanish-language radio stations in 10 markets, primarily in the West and the Rockies. The company has a TV station in Milwaukee, its first affiliate with Azteca America.
