State Assemblyman Mark Leno says there’s more support than ever for his bill…  But opponents who testified at the committee hearing cited an initiative approved by voters in 2000 that says marriage is between a man and a woman.

“My name is Jo Frick from Jackson California. I resent you going over the will of the people as in Proposition 22.”

Governor Schwarzenegger has indicated he would veto the bill. But Leno insists it’s an issue for the legislature.
