The Westfield Corporations new concepts include a repositioning of the movie theaters, perhaps extending them to 4th and J Streets. The food court would relocate to the east end of the mall, in what once was Copeland sports. A target store and a supermarket are still in the plans, last revised in August of 2006, when the city was expecting Westfield to ask for a subsidy of $15 to $20 million. The last major renovation occurred 15 years ago. Once this plan gets a city OK, if it does, the construction could take two years.
