Woodland’s Hospital was plagued with a dismal 32% occupancy of its beds before an upturn came … and it was a sharp one, starting in 2004. Now occupancy is 70% … and the hospital is in the midst of a $40 million dollar renovation and expansion program. It belongs to CHW, the San Francisco-based parent of the Mercy hospitals that dot the Sacramento region … and is competing with Sutter Davis Hospital for market share. A new medical office buiding will open in 2008 … and new medical services will become available, such as specialized procedures in radiology.
