Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger attended the Assembly session and urged the new lawmakers to continue bi-partisan efforts in the coming year. 

 “Because we can  accomplish extraordinary things this year if we continue working together… Let us find the things we have in common rather than things we should fight over….”
 
For state Assemblymembers, the first day back was just one day this month, but they’ll have more training to do to prepare for the job… and their session will begin in earnest in January.
