Delta Shores, one of the largest proposed housing developments within the city of Sacramento, is closer to reality as the project starts the approval process. Two communities are planned for Delta Shores, which covers about 920 acres of land just south of The Pocket neighborhood in south Sacramento. Developer M&H Realty Partners has plans for 5,800 homes and a 120-acre commercial center in Delta Shores. Access to Delta Shores would require a new interchange on Interstate 5 and an extension of Cosumnes River Boulevard from Franklin to Freeport boulevards. The developers and government agencies would fund the $90 million project. The development would also benefit from the proposed expansion of light-rail service, which currently stops at Meadowview Road. This is Ron Trujillo for the Sacramento Business Journal.
