No doubt your next heating bill will be higher because it’s been colder and you’ve been using your heater but PG&E’s Jennifer Ramp says natural gas bills this month will be less expensive than in December of 2005.

"Last year we had significantly higher natural gas prices because a lot of the hurricane damage to a lot of the natural gas production facilities in the Gulf. We’re happy to say that the price for gas this year is 15% lower so customers should see about a $13 decrease in the amount of their bills this month."

She says a few conservation tips that’ll help save money including cleaning your furnace, opening your drapes to let the sun in during the day and only doing full loads in your washer and dryer.
