For the next few days, work crews will be marking potholes with white paint.
"We’re having a – what we call 'Pothole Sweeps Week.'"
Dan Regan with the county’s Transportation Department says after all the potholes are marked, maintenance crews will sweep through the area next week to do the repairs.
"Everybody hates potholes. We’re going to try and do an even better job of getting out there as soon as we can and fixing them."
The department spends about a Million dollars a year fixing potholes.
Arden Arcade is the first neighborhood to be targeted for the pilot “Sweeps Week” project. The department may do similar sweeps in other areas.
Meantime, if you live in Arden Arcade and see a pothole that hasn’t been marked, you can report it to the Transportation Department. Click on the link above that says "Report Potholes Here."
