The Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association filed the lawsuit in Sacramento Superior Court to force the city to reveal the details of its latest offer to the Maloofs.
Timothy Bittle, director of legal affairs with the Association, says absentee ballots have already been mailed out and Sacramento area voters have a right to know what’s in the document:
We really believe that the voting public is entitled to know what exactly the city and the county are offering the Maloofs at taxpayer expense before they cast their vote.

The Sacramento City Attorney would not comment on the case while litigation is on-going.
