Davis officials have invited 4 thousand students and residents to Neighbors Night Out on October 6^th.
Dozens of residents will host block parties so citizens and students can get to know each other.

There are some communication issues with new students moving into neighborhoods, and we thought having neighbors come out and having an informal get together would make for friendlier interaction between neighbors.
 
Party bags will include not just favors, but flyers, with tips on how to be a good neighbor.Davis will follow up the parties with a survey asking if the project helped residents and students become more friendly.
