The political blogosphere. It’s a place party activists and Capitol insiders frequent. And one of the founders of the new California Majority Report – Steve Maviglio – hopes it also attracts young people, who he says don’t get their news from traditional media:
“They’re turning on to My space or other sources on the internet to find their news and packaged different ways and directed different ways, and this is one way to do that.
The new site will coordinate with “The Flash Report,” a conservative political blog…aiming for a point-counterpoint approach. “Flash Report” founder Jon Fleishman:
“People know the kind of news they’re looking for and they know the place they can get it.”
Fleischman says he has about 20-thousand unique hits a day to his site, and says blogs are changing the way we get news. Often, he says Republicans will choose to break a story with him, rather than the mainstream press.
