Governor Schwarzenegger Thursday activated 300 troops to help bolster security at airports in San Francisco, Oakland and LA after word of the terror plot in England.

But Gina Swankie with Sacramento International says passengers will see more security.

"We will have an increased presence of CHP that will be visible here at the airport. It’s been a little bit busy at various periods but the lines are moving very smoothly and very quickly. It seems like the word is now starting to get out. So everyone’s prepared for the checkpoint."

If you’re catching a flight at the airport, Swankie says come at least 2-hours early and don’t bring tooth paste, lip gloss or any gel or liquid based products in your carry-on luggage.
