A $10 million gift from Enlow and Melena Adams Ose leads the list. Four other donations of $1 million were also announced, coming from the Setzer Family Foundation, the Teichert Foundation, the Isabella Cowell Sutter Medical Center Endowment Trust. The fourth was given anonymously.

All will help the Sutter midtown project, expected to cost more than $500 million. Sutter General Hospital, when renovated by 2011, will become the Ose Adams Medical Pavilion. The largest gift to date to the Sutter project came last year from the Anderson Luchetti family, to the tune of $18 million. Construction on the project continues, despite a union lawsuit charging various environmental violations.
