Young Democrats and those who sat out the 2002 Gubernatorial election will be among the sought-after voters for state Treasurer Phil Angelides… His campaign advisers say Decline to State voters are also key players, despite a recent P-P-I-C poll that says independents favor Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger 43-percent to 25 percent. Angelides political consultant Bill Carrick says there are indications that group will vote with Democrats.

Democrats say they’ll rely on some party stars to stump for Angelides—following visits by Senator Hillary Clinton and former President Bill Clinton. The most recent P-P-I-C poll shows likely voters favor Schwarzenegger 43-percent to Angelides at 30 percent.
