The unreserved parking rate for a month in the average American city is just over $150. But in Sacramento, it’s now reached $200. Of course, in downtown Manhattan it’s $500, and $420 in Boston, according to the 6th annual parking survey by Colliers International. The vitality of the office market is one key to the cost of parking. As for daily parking, Sacramento’s median rate of $16 for the day is very close to the national figure. Looking for a cheap place to park? In Memphis, it’s $20 for the month … which must seem like nothing at all to an emigrant from London, where it’s nearly $900 a month in the West End.
